How does home care pelvic floor physical therapy work?During at-home sessions, a licensed pelvic floor physical therapist will come to your home with all the necessary equipment to evaluate and treat your pelvic floor concerns in a private and comfortable setting.

What should I expect during my first session?Your initial evaluation includes a thorough discussion of your medical history, an external assessment of posture, strength, and movement patterns, and, if you’re comfortable, an internal exam to evaluate pelvic floor function. Internal exams are always optional and can be deferred.

What should I wear for my session?Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows for easy movement.

Will I need any special equipment?No special equipment is needed. Your physical therapist will bring any tools or devices required for your care. You will be notified after your first session if anything is required.

Is an internal pelvic exam required?No, internal exams are optional and only performed with your consent. Your physical therapist will explain what will happen in the exam before you make your decision. Alternative treatment options are always available.

How do you ensure my privacy during sessions?All sessions are conducted in the privacy of your home and your physical therapist will work with you to ensure a comfortable and discreet experience.

Do you accept insurance?We are out-of-network. Payment is made at the time of service. We can provide you with a super bill to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement after each session.

What forms of payment do you accept?Cash and credit card are both acceptable forms of payment at the time of service.

Is there a cancellation policy?Yes, cancellations within 24 hours of your scheduled session are subject to a $25.00 fee. Please call or email 24 hours before your scheduled session if you need to cancel to avoid this fee.

How many sessions will I need?The number of sessions varies based on your specific condition and goals. Your physical therapist will create a personalized plan of care tailored to your needs.
